Before and after: gas range cooker

A five-burner range cooker in a family kitchen, carbonised on the door and with burnt-on spillage across the oven floor and hob. Stripped, soaked and rebuilt in a single visit, with the door glass cleaned on both sides.

Real customer job, photographed before and after on the same appliance.

Before and after: built-in oven, gas hob and extractor

A built-in single oven in a rented flat, booked for an end of tenancy check-out. The door glass and cavity were coated in baked-on grease, and the hob burner caps were corroded with spilled food. Everything removable was taken out and soaked, the cavity and door were treated by hand, and the appliance was rebuilt and tested before we left.

Photographed on the day, on the customer's own appliance.

Different ovens need different methods

Enamel, stainless steel, glass and liner coatings all behave differently. Catalytic and pyrolytic liners are designed to burn off residue themselves and are damaged permanently by caustic products, so we identify the appliance before anything is applied. If your oven has a liner we will tell you what can and cannot be treated rather than finding out the hard way.

Range cookers and double ovens

A double oven is two jobs, and a range cooker can be three or four with the hotplates and warming drawers. Both take noticeably longer than a single oven, so mention what you have when you ask for a price and the quote will reflect it from the start.

Before and after the clean

Switch the oven off and let it cool completely before we arrive; a warm oven cannot be stripped safely. Clear the worktop either side so there is room to work. Afterwards the oven is ready to use once any moisture has dried, usually within the hour.

When it is worth booking

Oven condition is one of the most common reasons for a deduction at the end of a tenancy, so it is worth adding to any move-out clean. Otherwise, every six to twelve months keeps a busy family kitchen on top of it, and a one-off clean makes sense before a house goes on the market or after a period of heavy use.

Where we clean ovens

Peterborough, Nottingham, Cambridge, Leicester and the surrounding areas, including the Deepings, Stamford, Bourne, Spalding, Wisbech and Huntingdonshire. Send your postcode and we will confirm availability.

How pricing works

Priced per appliance against what you tell us, as a fixed figure rather than an hourly rate. The variables are the type of oven, its condition and whether the hob and extractor are included. If an oven turns out to be far worse than described we will tell you before starting, not add to the bill afterwards.

Oven cleaning questions

How long does oven cleaning take?

A single oven usually takes one to two hours. Double ovens and range cookers take longer because there is more to strip, soak and rebuild, so tell us which you have when you ask for a price.

Can I use the oven straight afterwards?

Yes, once any remaining moisture has dried, usually within the hour. We wipe everything down and reassemble the oven before we leave.

Will the cleaning damage my oven?

Not if the right method is used. Catalytic and pyrolytic liners are designed to self-clean and can be ruined by the wrong product, so we check the appliance type before anything is applied.

Do you clean the hob and extractor too?

They can be included. Say so when you ask for a quote and the price will cover them rather than being added afterwards.

Is oven cleaning included in a deep clean?

The outside of the oven is. A full interior degrease is priced separately because it takes real time, so you can decide whether it is worth adding.
