Professional Oven Cleaning: What Is Included?
Professional oven cleaning is a detailed clean of the accessible parts of the oven: the interior, racks, shelves, trays and door glass, and, where agreed, the hob and extractor. It removes built-up grease and carbon that everyday cleaning cannot shift, using products suited to the oven's surfaces. It can be booked on its own or added to a deep clean or end of tenancy clean.

What is usually included
- oven interior: sides, roof, floor and back panel where accessible
- racks, shelves and trays
- inside and outside of the door glass
- door seal and handle
- control panel and knobs
- hob and extractor, where agreed
Different ovens, different methods
Enamel linings, catalytic liners, stainless steel and glass all need different treatment. Catalytic liners in particular are designed to self-clean and can be damaged by the wrong products, so a professional cleaner checks the appliance first.
Range cookers and double ovens
Range cookers and double ovens take longer and should be described when you ask for a quote so the price reflects the job.
Before and after the clean
Make sure the oven is switched off and cool before the cleaner arrives. Afterwards it should be ready to use once any drying time has passed.
When to book
Oven cleaning is one of the most common reasons for cleaning deductions at the end of a tenancy, so it is worth adding to a move-out clean. It is also a sensible addition to a deep clean, or on its own every six to twelve months in a busy kitchen.
